❇️ Hemp as the source of nutrients and essential phytochemicals ❇️
🌿Hemp is known as an ecologically friendly crop, which can be used in many fields from construction to biopolymers, textiles, ropes and more. However, hemp can also be used as an excellent and sustainable source of food, primarily a plant source for essential fatty and amino acids that also contains a lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals. Hemp has over 1000 bioactive phytochemicals, and some of them have proven and well-researched medical benefits.
👩🏫 Tanja Bagar is CEO and Chairman of the Expert Council of the International Institute for Cannabinoids. She holds a BSc in microbiology and a PhD in biomedicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. She is active in the academic sphere as the head of master’s studies for ecoremediations at AMEU-ECM, where she also lectures in biochemistry, microbiology and medial use of cannabinoids. She is a member of the Pomurje Academy of Arts and Sciences, Slovenian Biochemical Society and Slovenian Association of Psychologists. She is also one of the founders of the society for the preservation and protection of the environment. She has several awards, including a special recognition within the framework of the Slovenian social responsibility award HORUS.
